Letters to Veterans

Come to the Park City Library in November to write a letter to a U.S. Veteran. The Library will provide stationery, envelopes, and will deliver your letters to the V.A. in Salt Lake City. Include leftover Halloween candy to send, too!

Our kennel tours are designed to be so much more than just a meet and greet with the dogs. Our presentation will inspire you to overcome in even your darkest moments and to live your best life. Through the stories of our amazing dogs, we hope that you will be encouraged and filled with a new sense of hope, passion, and determination. These tours are very hands on with the dogs. You will be surrounded by our loving and friendly pack. We also have puppies from time to time, and you may get the chance to meet the newest members of the pack. Come be inspired with our pack, and let them help to make this an unforgettable family experience.

Gondola Art Stroll

The Canyons Village Management Association invites the public to escape to another world by exploring six different art installations, each enclosed within a retired Red Pine Gondola cabin. These cabins are placed around Canyons Village. As an added bonus, within each gondola cabin there are hidden items for guests to find!

Holiday Makers Market

The Holiday Makers Market is a creative marketplace celebrating local makers by providing local entrepreneurs and artists an opportunity to showcase their creative products and tell their stories to the community. The pop-up style retail space is planned to launch at CREATE PC on Friday, Nov. 22, and will run through the holiday season (until January).

Inward Outside: A Lyndsie Nash Exhibit

Nash is an emerging artist who paints connections with nature. She pushes beyond pure subject representation to highlight experiences and relationships observed directly under natural light. She reveals her subject’s depth of character through creative decisions in color, composition and textural qualities, creating an interplay between realism and abstraction.

Holiday Tree Show

See over two dozen beautifully decorated holiday trees, menorahs and other holiday symbols on display for free. Each donated tree is designed and decorated by local businesses, designers, organizations and community groups. There are also a row of stunning gingerbread houses, kids’ activities and a pop-up holiday boutique!

Parent-Tot Strider Biker Program

This program is designed for our littlest riders wanting to master their balance bikes. Held inside the Fieldhouse gymnasium, classes combine activities on and off the bike to spark enthusiasm and develop essential skills. Parent participation is required, and riders must bring their own balance bike and helmet. Pedal bikes are welcome if your child has progressed from a balance bike. Cost is $50.

“Less Bad” by Karl Haendel

Park City Singers Christmas concert rehearsals began Sept. 10 and will be held every Tuesday until the performances on Dec. 13 and 14 at the Community Church. No previous experience is needed. This group is specifically for those who have a family member with mental illness. It’s a safe space to connect, share experiences, and support one another. Meetings are in person, allowing you to meet others facing similar challenges and find comfort in knowing you are not alone. Join us for good company and a listening ear. Bilingual Family Storytime | Cuentos bilingües en familia

Perfect for those beginning their Spanish learning journey, this interactive, early literacy program will entertain your little one and help them learn to read by building language skills in both English and Spanish through stories and songs. This program is offered once a month, with an evening program on Wednesday and a repeat program on Saturday morning. Ages 3-6. Younger siblings are welcome.

Saturday Morning Nature Walks

Join us for a nature walk on the Preserve with one of Swaner’s naturalists! We explore wetland science, natural plant and animal species and the history of the Swaner Preserve. Pre-registration is required for all Saturday Nature Morning Walks. Walk-ins are not available at this time and all tours are capped at 15 participants. Registration closes at 7 a.m. the day of the scheduled nature walk.

Midway Farmers Market 2024

Swaner Wetland Climbing Wall

Climb through Swaner’s ecosystem from the bedrock to the uplands on our indoor climbing wall. The climbing wall is open Saturdays and Sundays with time slots starting between 1:30 – 3 pm. Pre-registration is encouraged, and please review climber requirements before signing up. Registration: extension.usu.edu/swaner/visit/climbing-wall.
